Fungating Breast Cancer Wound Closure

  

A fungating breast cancer with entire breast replacement and invasion of chest wall, required neoadjuvant chemotherapy.

As we followed her progress, the cancer initially responded dramatically to chemo, but, by the fifth cycle, the cancer progressed.  Therefore, we proceeded with a modified radical mastectomy and a Z-plasty to close the wound defect.
